- Benefiting the Make-A-Wish® Greater Bay Area. The Greater Bay Area Make-A-Wish Foundation was founded in 1984. In its first year, a total of 27 wishes were granted. Now one of the largest chapters nationwide, the Foundation has granted 5,000 wishes and grants over 300 wishes per year.

- Benefiting the Make-A-Wish® Greater Los Angeles. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles was founded on the notion of "one child, one wish" in 1983. Since that time, they have brightened the lives of more than 7,300 children with a wide range of life-threatening medical conditions.

As a chapter of the national foundation, Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Orange County and the Inland Empire fulfills wishes for children between the ages of 2 1/2 and 18 who confront life-threatening medical conditions. Granting wishes helps these children find the hope they need to transform their life-threatening illnesses into life-affirming triumphs. Formed in 1983, the chapter has fulfilled the wishes of more than 3,500 children.

- Benefiting the Make-A-Wish® San Diego. Make-A-Wish San Diego was chartered in 1983 has granted more than 2,700 wishes to children in San Diego and Imperial Counties. In fiscal year 2010, we granted 187 wishes.

- Benefiting the Make-A-Wish® Montana. The first wish in Montana was granted in the summer of 1987. Last year, 26 wishes were granted in the state of Montana with the help of 57 volunteers. In its history, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Montana has fulfilled nearly 300 wishes.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Nevada was founded in 1996, and currently serves the southern half of the state, encompassing the counties of Clark, Nye, Lincoln and Esmeralda. In 2009, 132 wishes were granted to children throughout the Southern Nevada region, and in total granted more than 1,100 wishes for local children.

The Metro New York chapter, which serves the five boroughs of New York City and Nassau County , Long Island began in 1983 and is headquartered in Lake Success with a field office in Manhattan. Since its founding, the Metro New York chapter has granted over 8,500 wishes. In Fiscal Year 2010 we touched the lives of 793 wish children and their families by granting 531 wishes for local children, and by facilitating 262 wish assists for children who reside in other areas, but whose wishes took place in New York - that’s one wish every 11 hours!

- Benefiting the Make-A-Wish® Suffolk County. Since its inception in 1983, the Suffolk Chapter has granted over 2,000 wishes to local children. In the past year alone, the chapter has granted 122 wishes. Your car donations allow the Suffolk County chapter to grant the very special wishes of children such as: Jordan, age 6, who wished to go to Disney with his family; Benjamin, age 9, who wished to meet WWE Wrestlers; Caitlin, age 14, who wished to visit the set of Harry Potter in the U.K.; James, age 18, who wished to receive his own DJ equipment!
- Western New York including Rochester and Buffalo

The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Western New York was founded in the summer of 1992 when a young girl wished to meet her favorite country singer, Reba McIntyre. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Western New York has granted more than 1,600 wishes, and on average grants one wish every 2 1/2 days.
North Carolina

- Benefiting the Make-A-Wish® Central and Western North Carolina. Founded by Dr. Jerry Clark, the Central and Western North Carolina chapter was chartered in 1985. The chapter was originally called the Charlotte Clark Chapter in honor Dr. Clarks' first wife, whom he lost to cancer. The chapter covers the state from Burlington (Alamance County) through the 51 counties to the west, with offices in Asheville, Charlotte & Greensboro.

The Eastern North Carolina chapter has granted more than 2,000 wishes in the past 24 years. The first wish was for a young man named Benny, who wished to meet his favorite wrestlers, Magnum T.A. and Rock ?n? Roll Express.

- Benefiting the Make-A-Wish® Oregon. Founded in 1983, Make-A-Wish Oregon is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization registered in the states of Oregon and Washington. Make-A-Wish Oregon was the fifth chapter to form and started in 1983. It all began when Sam, who struggled with leukemia, wished to meet Erik Estrada from the hit television show, "CHiPs." Since then, with the help of dedicated supporters and 200 regional volunteers, the Oregon chapter has granted more than 2,200 wishes to children in Oregon and Clark County, Washington.

Bryan was a seven-year-old cancer patient who wanted to visit his favorite uncle in Texas for one of his famous piggy-back rides. Today, the chapter has granted more than 11,500 wishes. We are the first chapter in the world to fulfill more than 700 wishes in one year.

- Benefiting the Make-A-Wish® Wisconsin. The Wisconsin chapter was founded in 1984 and more than 4,000 families statewide can attest to the power of a wish. The chapter's Field Office, located in Appleton, opened in 1996 to better serve children and their families in northeastern Wisconsin. Last year, the chapter granted a record-breaking 318 wishes. Currently, more than 230 Wisconsin children are in the process of having their special wishes granted.
